For most the sky is a boundless realm of possibility yet for some it remains a distant dream But for ten women farm workers from Karnataka's Vijayanagara district that dream took flight quite literally thanks to the kindness of one remarkable farmer The Farmer's GiftVishwanath a farmer from Shiraganahalli village in Harapanahalli taluk is no stranger to air travel A man of simple roots and soaring aspirations he has frequently flown for business and personal trips His farmhands however had only gazed at airplanes streaking across the sky their dreams of ever boarding one confined to imagination One day during a casual conversation under the cool shade of the towering areca palms the women hesitantly shared their long-held wish to experience the magic of air travel at least once in their lifetime Vishwanath listened smiled and made a silent promise to himself if the sky was not beyond his reach
